Services

IDEA offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, at no cost, for families who do not have the financial means to pay. IDEA then coordinates referrals to the appropriate therapists and treatments that will enable the child to lead a more productive and fulfilling life.

IDEA is dedicated to providing ongoing research into new and innnovative protocols for the prevention and treatment of autism.

IDEA is active in working with the Connecticut state legislature to insure that legislation requiring insurance companies to cover all autism-related claims is passed into law.

IDEA can provide assistance with early evaluation and intervention as well as providing information on services and programs dedicated to young people diagnosed on the spectrum.

IDEA strives to enable children with intellectual disabilities and their families obtain the support and services they need to contribute to and participate in their communities because too often they do not know where to access them.

IDEA recognizes the strain that raising a child with autism can have on the family. IDEA offers family counseling and support groups, also at no cost, to families dealing with these issues.
